Shanghai Botanical Garden

Spring is fully on, and I couldn’t possibly be happier about that! It is my favourite time of year, and when a beautiful day in such a beautiful season also happens to fall on a weekend, it is simply a perfect combination. The most recent one of these rare constellations occurred just last weekend, and we used the opportunity to visit Shanghai’s amazing botanical garden.

Our visit also coincided with an amazing flower show (which was a pleasant surprise), so even though in places we had to fight crowds of people, we had an amazing time strolling along lawns of tulips and daffodils, through wonderfully arranged Chinese (literally!) gardens, marvelled at perfect bonsai trees, and bathed in the unexpectedly bright sunlight.

Below you can find a small gallery of the best pictures I took on this visit. Worth looking at – unless you can come experience it yourself!
