Secret Garden

Recently I have noticed the trend that started spreading a few years ago with the rise of the hipster, has somehow crept into everyone’s daily lives. It now seems the majority of European population wears only black, grey and khaki colours. Cold days are dominated by the Parka (capital letter intentional), while hot summer nights reveal the abundance of crop tops in the streets. Don’t get me wrong – I like all of the things I’ve just described, and even wear some (if not all) of them from time to time.

But if everyone walks the streets covered in black only… it kinda lacks personality. So here I am, reviving three things that seem to be long gone – peplum tops, floral patterns and pastel colours. How come they have all disappeared into nothingness? Perhaps they lack the ‘sophistication’ of dark colours and straight cuts? Perhaps because less is more? Well, not if you take inspiration from flowers…
