Christmas time is here, and even though I usually remain ignorant to what is going on around me, I naturally cannot forget about such a great tradition that is Christmas. Not only is it impossible (especially if you live in the heart of Europe) but I have been preparing for it for the whole semester. With the Swedish choir I spent all three months practising traditional Swedish carols. Last Thursday we finally performed. The concert took place in a simple yet beautiful church in the centre of Brno, and both the big choir and the chamber choir sang a number of songs. As we’re only amateur singers, we weren’t perfect but there was a beautiful atmosphere which glowed of true Christmas spirit.
