Inspired by… South America

The other day I bought these amazing, extremely cheap shoes at Tiger. They only cost 190 CZK which is 5 quid. They are lovely, beautiful and very, very comfortable. On Thursday I took them for a walk for the very first time, and I was thinking what to wear with them. As their traditional-looking pattern reminds me of Mexican and Peruvian Indian fashion, I decided to style the rest of the outfit in a similar way.

What I ended up with was a greatly simpified, European version of what I see in pictures of traditional South American clothing. For the colour I chose my favourite turquoise trousers, very light and summery. I added a simple white blouse with a crochet detail around the neck, I thought it quite appropriate. And I topped it all with a handmade wooden necklace (a part of its handmade aspect was my work – originally it was a bracelet) and a floral handbag for a playful look.
